My partner and I spent our sixth anniversary at Cottonwood a one bedroom private cottage on a property bordering the Never River on the outskirts of Bellingen, MSW. After a long day in the car, we were greeted with an pure and well presented space that had us pinching ourselves for all three nights of our stay: we woke to views of misty eucalypti mountains and birdsong, spent afternoons reading from the cottage’s diverse and contemporary library, and spent evenings next to the wood stove sipping wine and marveling at our luck. There is also a porch, hifi (with play lists curated to suit your stay), and a healthy stocked fridge (jam, eggs, bread, and sufficient other things to retain us content). The cottage is SO beautifully done we don’t want to depart ! The misty hilltop seen from the front windows is too appropriate to be true. This is one of the best places we have stayed in the world!
